Over 40 years and three generations, Edwards Transportation has been providing our valued customers with reliable shipping and logistics services. Though our family-owned business primarily focuses on our success as a refrigerated carrier, we have expanded to include dry freight, brokerage services, warehousing and door-to-door shipping between the US and Mexico.
From our two terminal locations in East Prairie, MO, and Laredo, TX, Edwards is able to serve a wide ranging customer base. Our warehousing space in Laredo also includes cross docking and cold storage transfer, and our experience in customs and other cross-border procedures allows to expedite any inbound or outbound freight, on an export or import basis.
PREMIUM QUALITY EQUIPMENT
Downtime isn’t an option for you, so it’s unacceptable for us. We’ve invested in the best equipment on the road and stick to a meticulous maintenance schedule.
TRUCKS
Edwards trucks operate on trading schedules that enable us to keep the best-operating trucks on the road. We’ve implemented the latest technology in auxiliary power units (APU) and EPA compliant systems within the truck’s engines to maximize mileage and reduce fuel consumption. Extended warranties purchased keep downtime to a minimum by offering a national database of certified maintenance facilities.
TRAILERS
Our 53-foot refrigerated trailers feature mainly Thermo King Units. By only operating equipment that’s five years’ old or less, we can safely work in any state and still remain in EPA compliance. Implementing new designs in aerodynamics and such as trailer skirting we are reducing emissions and lessening our carbon footprint.
OUR HISTORY
Edwards Transportation Company was founded in the early 1980s as a father-son business. From our earliest beginnings, our entire team has been committed to meeting and exceeding the expectations of our customers and business associates. We’ve weathered many changes throughout the years in the trucking industry, including regulation requirements, fuel price fluctuations, equipment costs, and economic ups and downs. The Edwards team has persevered due to our dedication to doing business the right way.
